My experience enables me to offer effective outpatient, individualized, mental healthcare. I treat a number of mental health disorders, and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples.
My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
I promise to be there for you every step of your journey. The common goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
Mark Jacocks
MA-CMHC / NCC
A graduate of Regent University, Mr. Jacocks received his Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Mr. Jacocks also received certification as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). He currently is enrolled at University of the Cumberlands pursuing a doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision.
Combined with his formal training, Mr. Jacocks added life experience when he joined with The Transformation Center in 2019 after serving his internships there since 2018. Mr. Jacocks holds a Christian worldview and is willing to integrate spirituality into counseling at the client’s request. His training at Regent University provides ethical application of counseling techniques that focus on the client’s belief system and allows for social and cultural considerations. He works with adolescents ages 12 and up, adults, couples, and families.
His involvement with others in the counseling profession assists in helping clients in addressing addiction, anxiety, conflict, depression, grief and loss, life stage transitions, personal/spiritual direction/growth, relationship concerns, and trauma. Mr. Jacocks feels that change is possible for clients when they possess the proper tools to work through life’s difficulties, and when they actively participate in setting goals and objectives at the beginning of, and throughout, the counseling process. He provides opportunities for the client to evaluate current circumstances, process personal emotions, balance their thoughts and beliefs with their behaviors, and achieve a balance within their worldview that helps them in their ability to move forward in life.
Mr. Jacocks is the developer of the program A New Way offered at The Transformation Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This new program offered for adolescents is modeled after empirically proven theoretical approaches to changing adverse behaviors in youth and build skills sets in social skills and moral reasoning.
